Thursdays at 4:15 is a through-sung musical monologue for solo soprano. The piece takes place in a therapist’s office, where the sole character sits and conducts what seems to be an standard session, with the audience taking on the role of therapist. Throughout the session, she touches on various events that occurred since her last appointment, and eventually begins to focus on the real reason she is here. Thursdays at 4:15 explores ideas of family, grief and generational trauma through an eclectic array of musical styles, providing a tour de force showcase for the performer.

Welcome to therapy.
